Program Information

The program is organized into 5 distinct phases, from application to the maintenance of a sustainable landscape. This document describes each Phases and provides an estimated timeline.
Here are summarized the Principles underlining the Smartscape program.

The Homeowner Landscape Transformation Guide is designed to help homeowner associations (HOAs) in the Sonoran Desert achieve water conservation by adopting Smartscape principles for transforming common areas into water-efficient landscapes. These guidelines and templates are designed to help HOAs complete key phases of the program. They cover acquiring base map information for the designer and writing a quality Request for Proposals.

A survey can be a great tool to collect opinions from HOA members and include everyone in the design of common spaces.
